Dhoni felt nothing less than a series win would satisfy the Indians. "It's a great feeling, especially for guys who whose careers have spanned more than 10 years," he said. "They have played at most of the venues all over the world, and if it's the first win for them, it can't get better. But hopefully if we can win the series it will be great. One of the first milestones we have achieved is to take the lead, now it's important to play the same kind of cricket in the second and third game. Let's hope we win the series and that will be the best gift we can give to them [the seniors]."

We've talked quite a lot about cricket over the last few weeks. so this one seems fitting. Indian skipper MS Dhoni is the bearer of bad tidings for the Black Caps!

It is surprising that the Black Caps have only made one change - bringing Patel back for the injured Arnel. I heard Turner at Noon saying that Oram had to show them that he was on top of his game before returning to the team.
I suggest to Glenn Turner and the other selectors that Oram on one leg will be better value than Mills and probably as good as Franklin at No6 and as a containing bowler. If Franklin is going to play he must have the new ball and where is Southee instead of Mills
It looks like more of the same at Napier but I hope to be there Thursday for the first days play.
No pdf; not Oram. Not now.
It’s a long time since he scored anything
