It's the last day of our Christmas/New Year holiday today; it's been and gone all too quickly. We were at the point of having almost perfected the art of sleeping in until 8am (something we VERY seldom do), and from tomorrow morning onwards, it's back to the routine of early starts.
We've managed to not focus on work since we knocked off at 3pm on Christmas Eve, and it's been an invaluable break. And a three-day week starting back is probably not too bad a way to start the New Year.
For those of you like us who head back to the grindstone tomorrow, we hope you've had a pleasant and restful Christmas holiday. If you're driving today, take care; the roads will be busy, so take your time. And if you still have the luxury of a few more days off (or even longer), make the most of them.
Right; now should we take our cuppa back to bed?

Back to work for me today.
The aim is to tidy things up today, then get stuck in tomorrow.
But I will have the golf clubs in the boot as I intend to reacquaint myself with them at the local driving range afterwards.
Then some time in front of the box watching the Sydney test.
Even a small break is to be treasured. Whilst I cannot completely ignore work over the next few weeks, my holidays extend for the first time in a very, very long time. It's fantastic.
However, working over the next week or so can be quite good as things tend to be a bit quieter, so it's a good time to plan and organise.
Quite so ZT; and we have quite a bit of planning and organising to do, with the likelihood of an expansion into Auckland.
@ QH - I'll drop you an e-mail at some point; there might be the opportunity to do a catch-up meeting at your club!
I am stoked to have the 3 days off later this week, I did work last week though...
Not been an easy 3 weeks growing wise, trying to get crops out of the ground and disease at bay has been somewhat challenging...
Would love to see a little sun though, the children would love to go to the beach..
Been a good break though weight wise, have not stacked it on as I tend to as I get older, a few runs and cycling has helped...
May 2012 be a great one, even if challenges present themselves
Been on half speed for the last week, will be so for the next week then I have to make up for it.
